PAC Packs Punch Against Teel !
They have Commissioner Christine Teel in their sites, and it looks like they are playing hardball.
Here's one of their latest mailings that found it's way into District I mailboxes in the last few days.

the "Oscar Meyer " mailing
The group that is targeting Teel is a "PAC" , or Political Action Committee. It's called the "Integrity Counts Committee". The Pac is addressed to 1314 Las Olas, and was registered by long time political operative Russ Oster.
The City of Fort Lauderdale has very strict campaign finance laws, and Pacs, Unions, and Corporations are forbidden from contributing to campaigns, but PACS can spend their own resources as long as they are not connected to any campaign.
The Bruce Roberts campaign said they were "shocked" to see the pieces, and had absolutely "nothing to do with them".
Oster, who has been stirring the political pot for some years, said this morning that although others in his organization were leading the anti-Teel re-election effort, the reason for the efforts were, "obviously, the problem with the exploding budget".
Here is another piece they sent:
the "dracula mailer"
Commissioner Teel could not be reached for comment.
Other local names that contributed to "Integrity Counts Committee" include local attorneys Jon Krupnick, Scott Lieberman, and Russ Adler, lobbyist Ron Book, and local developer Ron Mastriana.

Gremlin thinks the PAC responsible for this disreputable and offensive trash "doth protest too much". There is nothing quite like reducing a political campaign to the lowest common denominator (slime) and having various parties disavow any knowledge of the trash. Come now..Gremlin

It dosen't take a PAC to convince me that Teel has overstayed her welcome.
Despite the fact that she's not the sharpest tool in the shed, what really offends me about her is her stand on public safety.
How dare she put my children,my neighbors, and anyone else that lives in a neighborhood not as swanky as hers at risk of being victims to a crime.
Her so-called fiscal responsibility includes depriving us all of having the best police force we all deserve, and deprives officers that have put their lives on the line for us the pension they deserve.
Shame on you Commissioner Teel, for enabling the exodus of many residents of Ft. Lauderdale,as they are leaving for areas they can feel safe in- forcing us to lose our tax base, now that's really fiscally responsible!!!!!!!!!

i believe these ads are a comination of Mark Ketchum and Ron Mastriana. Both Sleazy and wouldnt put it past either. The truth always comes out! Guys, run a clean campaign, this really makes Roberts look juvenile.

Tim,
About 3 weeks ago, I personally saw Bruce Roberts with Ron Mastrianna outside Mastrianna's office together. They were just getting ready to erect a big Roberts sign on the property. They then went into the offices together. 5 days later I get this discusting mailer about Christine with a toilet on it and her name written in Brown. Roberts pretents to know nothing about this but he certainly spends a lot of time in the office that supports it....he is a LIAR

Actually Integrity Counts is an Electionnering Communications Organization (ECO) not a Political Action Committee (PAC).
They are different in Florida.

Nothing covers this better than a quotation from Will Rogers.
He said, "I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts."

Or my other favorite Will Rogers quote
"I'm not a member of any organized party. I'm a Democrat."

In todays paper it is going to be obvious that the Sentinel will be uncovering the Roberts/Mastianna illegal ads against Teel. So Tim, are you sure your endorsement on this race is right or are you just going along with the good ole boys (Dressler types)? Endorsing people just because most of your contacts feel that way is not a risk. When you endorse someone you dont care for but deep down you know they are the best qualified is really what its all about!

True enough, Irv. However, nobody seriously thinks that Teel is competent, much less the better candidate.

Teel ~ oh yes the second Betty White.
How she stayed this long is beyond me.
If I was living in this district Bruce Roberts would have my vote without doubt. To me he is the best candiate running for the seat. He knows the city throughout, not to mention how the commission (old) ran.

Endorsements?
I believe when Tim endorses a candiate he does so for the main reason! That he feels that the candiate is the right candiate to win the seat & not because he is a friend or for another purpose.
