Give 'em hell Tim!

Give 'em hell Harry is historically known.

Give 'em hell Tim is my attempt at a local version!

As you might recall, I have been battling some of the Downtown Power Structure that want to solve their problems with aggressive vagrants in Stranahan Park by shipping them up towards my neighborhood off Sunrise Boulevard.

Well it came to a head last week at a meeting of the Downtown Development Authority. The Sun-Sentinel was there to capture the battle.

I'll repeat the comment I sent to the Sun-Sentinel: Reach out to the downtown churches. They should be ready to help the poor in their own church parking lots.

Here's my comment that I posted in reference to the report of the DDA Meeting. I posted this last week on the Sun-Sentinel.

We need to find true solutions to problems, including the homeless and panhandling issues. Not pushing them on into someone else's neighborhood. I agree it's a problem, but it's a problem just about everywhere. Not just in the downtown area of Fort Lauderdale. Let's look for some solutions that will protect and enhance ALL of Fort Lauderdale's neighborhoods

Oh how I agree with you Dennis....

We have a few homeless that live under neath a bridge near neighorbood that the entrance to is a city park. Go figure why they are still there living their lives & having a good time.

LOL.. I think I may start panhandling for they certainly make more $$ in a day than I do working full time, & paying taxes.

Thanks Tim for speaking at the DDA regarding the homeless situation. Coming home from work exiting off of South I-95 to Cypress Creek or Commercial Blvd. every evening can be a frightening experience with the homeless begging at these locations. It's throughout the County. Wish I had a solution but it's a very complicated issue and requires more than the DDA to figure it out.
