Your caption regarding the sign that equated Obama with Osama said...democracy in action. Perhaps it would be better to use the word "inaction". These loonies are nothing more than extremists or closet fascists.

I don't condone hate speech by anyone. I do think that passions are high right now because some people truly believe that this is the America that some of us know, last stand. Some of us don't want Socialism or a European form of government for America. That is what all this frustration is about in my opinion. The great debate about free speech and calling people "Nazi's" and things like that was done by leftists long before anyone else used it. Look at the Chris Matthews "outrage" over the use of the word "regime" referring to the Obama Administration. When Chris Matthews himself used the word "regime" referring to the Bush Administration. Can you say, "DOUBLE STANDARD"? This double standard by the overwhelmingly liberal media, is also a reason that many people are angry. They are given various unflattering labels by a media that are beyond hypocrites!

Must have been an exciting show! Wonder how many "lies" were told?

Hello friend Tim,
We appreciate your pictures of the
crazy people there but we did NOT like
the City Hall Circus outside.
We appreciate a quieter civil discussion
and protest, not screaming hostility,
plus gross exagerated signs as seen in these pictures. Give them milk to reduce their tea's caffein, please.

Did you ever hear of Code Pink? I witnessed one of their "demonstrations" in Washington, D.C., and they are liberal anti-war protesters who scream, have signs, and dress to get attention. I met a woman whose son was killed in Iraq that was confronted by language and things about "dead soldiers" from the Code Pink protesters that kept her from sleeping. How about that for "crazies" and shouting? Why is it that those who are angry about what they think is socialism are denegrated by the left? Anyone who disagrees with the Obama administration is marginalized because that is part of the campaign to discredit anyone against the Obama administration and take the heat off of his unpopular decisions, such as health care. Remember, polls show even now that the overwhelming majority of Americans oppose the health care bill that passed. Where is the outrage about protesters from the left? It never seems to exist.

I don't condone this type of action by either side. This is a total disrespect for the office of the Presidency. People that hold these types of disgusting signs are saying more about themselves than anything. I thought George Bush was the worst president in my lifetime but as much as I disliked him and his policies I would never resort to this.
To you comment about the majority of Americans being against health care reform...that is misleading. When they break down these polls, a lot of those that dislike this plan, wanted the public option and an even more progressive bill. They are polling as not in favor of THIS bill. If you break it down, the majority of Americans were in favor of Health Care Reform but nobody ever gets everything they want.

This woman DWS is disliked by many on both sides of the isle...she is a media hound. You gotta shake your head when she takes off the Israel under the guise of "furthering the peace process" and days after her arrival back in US American, Israel and Palestinian relations dipped to an all time low. DWS is a blight on South Florida, she talks a big game but really doesn't accomplish much other than having an uncanny ability to position herself on any and all sound bites any cable news show needs to fill. She is another example of wasted space and cost over-runs for her personal agendas..Hope she is booted out.

hey I like democracy as much as the next guy and all people have a right to protest but some of these anti Obama protesters seem a bit dangerous to me. I think a lot of there anger has as much to do with his complexion as anything else.I bet you all use the n word now don't ya?

You sure can tell who voted for Obama on this site...curious? How's that workin out for ya?

It's working out great! How'd Bush work out for ya??? I am proud to say that I voted for President Obama. Here's only part of the reason why.... "Federal taxes are very considerably lower by every measure since Obama became president. In fact, 40% of Obama's stimulus package involved tax cuts. These include the Making Work Pay Credit, which reduces federal taxes for all taxpayers with incomes below $75,000 by between $400 and $800.
"According to the JCT, last year's $787 billion stimulus bill, enacted with no Republican support, reduced federal taxes by almost $100 billion in 2009 and another $222 billion this year.

(These include the Making Work Pay Credit, which reduces federal taxes for all taxpayers with incomes below $75,000 by between $400 and $800.) Now thats a hoot..if people had jobs your comment might be relative, but hense it isnt..Reduced Taxes? Buddy our cities are broke and there is no relief in site, tax cuts are great if you have the income to appreciate them..your in lala land..Guys like you figure if I say it enough times it will come true..you remind me of Dorothy and her red slippers..

If people had jobs, what are you talking about. Yes, we have high unemployment but many of us do have jobs and are paying taxes. Many tax credits were also given to small busniess etc. etc...I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain this to someone who only cares about whining and complaining. Our cities are broke because property values plummetted and along with it tax revenues. Whose in la la land? I think it's pretty obvious. Guys like you need to quit complaining, get up off you @ss and do something postive for a change!

You mean like you? Who spends time at "vision" meetings? Envision this, The country finally realizes that Obama and his co-horts are crumbling society, one state at a time (Arizona) start legislating laws to protect themselves from these maniacs..States start to fight back, chaos reigns in the street after the next Natural disaster on our shores (cat5) Cities have become broke and police presense is at critical stage (BSO to announce Layoffs) (Department of Corrections to release 25,000 onto streets due to budget) do something? You obviously dont know me very well..as long as people like you continue to get your paycheck and your particular house isnt in foreclosure all is right with the world? Is that how it is? Did you bother to read the "tax credits" for small business's? Obviously not. Tax credits is a term that means "we will float you a life raft after your thirty feet down"..is that too much complaining for ya?

Thanks Tim for posting these photos. Very scary stuff. As an American of Irish heritage, I do not get the Irish/Israeli connection. Historically, the Irish have more in common with the Palestinians. I suggest that these misguided Irish folk do a little research into the modern history of the Middle East. Perhaps reading the excellent book, Leap of Faith by Queen Noor, would be a good place for them to begin.
I am saddened by the ignorance displayed by the signs and the Irish Americans.
Anyway, thank you for making me aware.

Tim- I really enjoy ,and look forward to new entries in your blog.
As a "stand up for what you believe in" guy,I wonder what kind of impact we would have if as many people that responded to your pieces would step away from the keyboard and anominity to come out and really make a difference like you do....
I really admire your hutzpa and honesty.
Thanks for putting yourself out there-it's safe and easy to hide in the shadows as most others do....

Better and better all the time -- economy is recovering, major security issues are being addressed, health care is being extended, climate change is being treated as the real concern it is, taxes are down for over 95% of the population.
Still a lot of issues to take care of, but we're heading in the right direction.

Florida's unemployment rate hit 12.3 percent in March, a new record from the previous 12.2 percent posted in February, the state work force agency said. It's the highest since records began to be kept in 1970. More than 1.14 million state residents are out of work.
Jobless rates in Broward and Palm Beach counties declined in March: 10.6 percent compared with a revised 10.9 percent in February for Broward, and 12.1 percent compared with a revised 12.5 percent in February for Palm Beach.
Miami-Dade County's unemployment rose to 12.0 percent in March from 11.3 percent in February.
Florida's rate is up 2.7 percentage points from the March 2009 rate of 9.6 percent.

I find it amazing that those who find the "teaparty" groups offensive automatically resort to assumptions that they are all Bush supporters? Where do you get that from MRT? Seriously how do you make that leap? The tea party is made up of people all kinds of people who were fed up with the "business as usual" mentality. They were and are tired of those who sit in positions of power "democratic/republican whose only agenda is their own climb to the top. Obviously you were out sick that day when the premise of the tea party was explained. The idea is to make those we elect "accountable" to the very people who put them in their positions. You remind me of a guy who attends a fundraiser to get your picture taken and really has no idea where the candidate plans to take you. Thats what the members of the tea party are sick of. To align Members as all Bush supporters shows you may not be one to run with the big dogs..

Yea things are really looking up..Driving down US1 from Lauderdale into Lighthouse Point last night was like driving thru a ghost town..To see that many buildings sit empty or have been bulldozed because it was cheaper to tear them down than to pay the taxes on them was a real eye opener. All I could think of was reading this blog and the Comments of how things were Looking UP..ahh "none so blind as those who refuse to see"..I hate to be the one to break it to you, but small and medium size business's are in the tank..and all the blind following these politicians like DWS and Obama are taking you right off a cliff. And like sheep your following.."dont take my word for it, drive North on Federal Highway and look for yourselves..

Its pretty sad when someone has to go out of their way to find things to fit their agenda. Focus on the fringe and ignore the big picture. Sounds like Wasserman-Shulz's MO.
If you want credibility, take some wide shots. I can find 3 wackos in publix on any given day. Otherwise, you're just a clown act.
