As I've been watching the news of this offshore oil spill get worse each day, I've been wondering why I haven't heard more 'outrage' from the anti-offshore drilling groups here in Florida about this. Then again...most everything we read, see and hear is via major media outlets...gotta wonder why those voices aren't getting more mainstream press??

    The reason that we have to drill in deep water is because of the environment zealots who won't let us drill in shallower waters. The reason this leak is such an issue is that its a mile deep.

    We now know that we can't protect the shores by drilling in deep water. So drill in shallower water so human beings can be sent down to fix problems. Its also less expensive in a number of ways.

    We still need oil and we still don't want to import it all from evil countries. A spill doesn't change reality despite the fantasies of some.
