Saint Patricks' Day Float!

The annual Fort Lauderdale - St. Paddys' Day parade is coming up on March 9th, and there will be so much fun and frivolities!

The 13th Street Alliance ( a group of neighborhoods and businesses) has entered the parade, and are building a float!
hmmmm...... but how?

We are going to follow their float building process over the next two weeks until they finish the float by parade day. Here they are looking at their blank canvass.....

The shamrock represent the Trinity; it is not a 4-leaf clover.
It seems some politicians in our city have kissed the Blarney Stone...passionately!

will the new district 2 commish ride on the float? or at least walk beside it? or is the parade on a conveniently selected day (not march 17) and before the election?

The parade since it restarted in 2010 has always been on the Saturday before the 17th.

so when march 17 st pat day IS a saturday the parade is a week earlier on the preceeding saturday?
